Winter Classes


  Soups, Stocks and Stews-

Learn to make stock from scratch and also quick and slow (slow cooker that is) soups and stews, such as; minestrone, chicken noodle, Pasta fagioli, Bouillabaisse, Beef stew, Chicken Cacciatore  are some of the goodies offered in this class sure to warm the heart and hearth.

Beyond rice, recipes for new and ancient GRAINS-


Whole grains are not only healthful but they are delicious way to reimagine any meal.  Quinoa, freakah, barley, spelt, farro can all add richness and depth to meals.  Learn how to prepare these grains and use them for breakfast, lunch and dinner meals.


Easy yeast breads

There are techniques to make yeast breads a snap, they take time and planing but no or very little kneading or special equipment.  You can have fresh bread all weekend long using these new techniques.  Learn this process and take home your very own dough you can bake at home the next day!

Does pizza for dinner sound exotic?  this class will show how easy and fun it is to make pizza night at home.  toppings and techniques are demonstrated and everyone gets to make their very own pie!

Cook happy classes

Lessons at cook happy are interactive, so come prepared to get your hands in the food!  We will eat the meal together and/or take food home to enjoy later. recipes will be given for everything we make.  The classes are all about getting you to cook at home so questions and variations are all welcome.

Tween food savvy 

This summer camp is for 9-12 year olds, especially those that eat!  We will explore where our food comes from, how it gets to us, what is the story of our food, as well as how our food is sold to tweens.  We will go to the farmers market and visit Whole Foods and each day we will make a meal.  We will make bread, tacos, nori rolls and many more kid friendly and interesting foods.   $200
